November 1979

Gold River development approved by Sacramento County Board of Supervisors, included interchange to Gold Country.

April 1987 EIR certified by Board of Supervisors.
May 1988

Gold River development approved - property set aside for the interchange.

February 1991

Interchange study was approved by the Board of Supervisors,
“South Only” interchange.

1993

Added to County General Plan in the Sunrise Douglas Specific Plan. Funding to extend Jaeger Road to the interchange.

July 1998 GenCorp - County rezone and General Plan Amendment to develop for Rio del Oro and provide an Interchange as mitigation.
July 2003

The City of Rancho Cordova incorporated
and initiated the environmental study for Rio del Oro.

July 2005
Public Open House – CSUS Aquatic Center.
June 2006  

Interchange project adopted in Rancho Cordova’s
General Plan.

May 2007 Interchange Project Study Report signed by CalTrans.
June 2007
Public Open House – CSUS Aquatic Center.
 
2008-2009 2008-2009 Development of Draft EIR Re-evaluation of the Traffic and Operations Analysis
Spring 2009   Draft EIR released for public comment.
Summer 2009

Public Meeting at Planning Commission

Fall 2009

Draft EIR scheduled for certified by City Council.

Preliminary/Final project design
